Always a good day when we get a new track from mysterious collective Cocaine 80s. The group, consisting of No I.D., James Fauntleroy, Common and Makeba Riddick, has been consistently dropping these tracks out of nowhere. If you haven’t picked up their last EP, Ghost Lady, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life.
Not as strong as the previous leaks but still good nonetheless. Produced by No I.D. again. Common held his listening party last night for The Dreamer, The Believer. According to all of the blogger reviews this album isn’t going to disappoint.
A real interesting behind the scenes look of the process behind “Ghetto Dreams”. Why couldn’t Nas be this enthusiastic towards the camera during the Nardwuar interview? Brian “B.Kyle” Atkins behind the camera.
The people over at Fake Shore Drive stumbled upon this mixtape by No I.D.-led collective Cocaine 80s. The group consists of No I.D., Common, Steve Wyreman, Rob Kinelski, Kevin Randolph, James Fauntleroy, Makeba. As they said at FSD, this project kinda came out of nowhere. Definitely worth a download though, even if it is just for the Common x No I.D. collab track.
