Talib Kweli – Push Thru (Feat. Curren$y & Kendrick Lamar) [Music Video]

Curren$y, Kweli, and Kendrick Lamar are your lyrical tour guides as they take you through their respective alma maters of New Orleans, Brooklyn, and Compton. I’m still pretty disappointed by this final product due to its soft chorus and short versus (unusual for these guys), but it’s starting to grow on me. Check out the Scott Fleishman/Fredo Tovar visuals above while you wait for Prisoner of Conscious to hit stores this fall.

Talib Kweli – Push Thru (Feat. Currensy and Kendrick Lamar)

We get the full version of a track that will be featured on Talib’s Prisoner of Consciousness. Produced by S1. Anyone expecting more from this song?

Das Racist & Talib Kweli – The Actual

Check out this collab from Das Racist and Talib Kweli off of Eastern District’s MOSHOLU mixtape (available here), which features an assortment of new and veteran Brooklyn artists.

Mack Maine – Celebrate (Feat. Lil Wayne and Talib Kweli)

Last night an unfinished track from Lil Wayne surfaced, titled “Celebrate”. Turns out it was a Weezy verse that is featured on this track featuring Mack Maine and Talib Kweli.

Black Star – You Already Knew x Little Brother (Live on Jimmy Fallon)

Backed up by The Roots, Fallon’s house band, my favorite duo in hip hop performs two tracks that will likely be featured on a forthcoming mixtape titled Aretha Black Star. They dedicated “Little Brother” to the song’s late producer, J. Dilla. Check the video below for their performance of “Little Brother”.

Talib Kweli – Distractions (prod. by Oh No)

After debuting the verses on both Shade 45 and the Occupy Wall Street rally, Kweli releases the first single from his upcoming Prisoner of Consciousness, set to drop sometime next year. Featuring some very dope production and scratches from Oh No.

Black Star – You Already Knew x Fix Up

Talib Kweli and Yaslin Bey (formerly Mos Def) drop off two tracks during the Thanksgiving weekend. “You Already Knew” is set to be featured on the Aretha Franklin tribute mix Black Star Aretha. Black Star reunion album dropping in 2012.

Talib Kweli – Uh Oh (Feat. Jean Grae) [Music Video]

Check out this new music video from Talib Kweli, featuring Jean Grae.  Hosted on MTVU, the video shows Kweli and Grae plotting and scheming, robbing houses in crazy masks, fucking people up with drills –all while keeping it classy with button downs and ties.  This is a song from Kweli’s album Gutter Rainbows, which was digitally released earlier this year.  Solid video to keep the fans at bay until his next album, Prisoner of Conscious, drops in the late fall.

Black Star – Untitled (Feat. Madlib)

Two days after the most hyped collab hip-hop album dropped, the blogosphere graces us with a track from the original hip-hop supergroup (not named Native Tongues). Not sure where exactly this Madlib-produced track is gonna land, but it’s rumored to be part of their comeback album.  Who doesn’t want some new Mos?

Mac Miller – Family First (Feat. Talib Kweli)

Mac Miller celebrated hitting the milestone of half a million Twitter followers with the release of “Family First,” featuring one of hip hop’s greatest lyricists. You can guess what this one’s about. Smooth production by Like of Pac Div.
