Brooklyn rapper OnCue hooked up with The KickDrums for this update of their previously released “Machines,” a track from their recent Inspiration For Conversation EP. The emcee has been hard at work on the forthcoming Angry Young Man, and “Machines” is a good indication of how much OnCue has grown over the past few years. AYM coming soon.
A lot of drama surrounded this song a couple of months ago when it was slated to be featured on The Kickdrums mixtape Follow The Leader. At the last moment, Rocky decided he wanted the track for his own album, LongLiveA$AP. Outrage ensued but yesterday we finally got the track in its entirety. LongLiveA$AP drops September 11th.

One of my favorite production duos, The Kickdrums, just let loose this track via their Facebook page while also mentioning that they just finished their latest mixtape. The Kickdrums have always had high caliber collabs and this project should be no different. Stream “Traces” below.
I stumbled across The Kickdrums a while ago, but just started playing “Just A Game” on my iPod again. The Kickdrums consist of singer/songwriter Alex Fitts and dj Matt Penttilä. The two work together to produce their versatile tracks that stretch across several genres. The two met as engineers in a studio in Cleveland, began working together and currently are based in Brooklyn, NY.
