Danny! stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to perform his new single with The Roots. This isn’t surprising considering Questlove is one of the two big names who cosigned Danny! a few months back (the other was Jay-Z), and his debut television performance was fantastic. Skip ahead to the 37 minute mark if you just want to watch the performance.
Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform an eight-minute rendition of “Perth” from Bon Iver’s newest album. I’m not always the biggest fan of auto-tune, but this is some damn good music right here.
With the help of Fallon’s house band, The Roots, Cole performs this single off of his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story.
NPR Music has a very dope feature called First Listen, in which upcoming albums are streamed in their entirety before they are released. Very fortunately for us, The Roots’ new album Undun is now being featured. A gritty and affecting concept album, it entails the struggle of protagonist Redford Stephens (characterized by Black Thought) in the dope game.
