There was a point earlier this year where you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing a song from fun.’s Some Nights. I’ve finally stopped hearing “We Are Young” in my sleep, but the album’s title track has taken over where the first single left off and is holding steady at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. As with all hit songs, “Some Nights” has been covered over and over again, and Ellie Goulding’s cover is the best I’ve heard thus far. I prefer the stripped-down nature of Ellie’s version to Nate Ruess’ heavily Auto-Tuned vocals, but you can listen to the song below and decide for yourself.
