Believe it or not, I’m actually more excited about Heems’ upcoming mixtape than I was about Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city. Heems already has one of the best mixtapes of the year with Nehru Jackets, and releasing a second one in the fall is just icing on the cake. The first single, “Killing Time,” was a very promising taste of what the Das Racist emcee has to offer this time around. The newest cut is called “Cowabunga Gnarly,” and the Harry Fraud production on it is excellent as always. Wild Water Kingdom drops on November 1.
