Pinback – Proceed To Memory

One of the most common misconceptions about people who run hip hop blogs is that they primarily listen to one genre of music. This is somewhat true, but only because it’s a job requirement. Most of my favorite artists have never been featured in XXL or The Source. Pinback has been in mainstay in my iPod ever since they released Summer in Abaddon in 2004. We haven’t heard new music from them since their 2007 release Autumn of the Seraphs.  Well today is my own personal Christmas because they released the first single from their new album, Information Retrieved, which is set to drop on October 16th.
